How to Control Emergency Vehicle Lights and Sounds in GTA 5 with ELS
If you are a fan of GTA 5 and want to add more realism and immersion to your gameplay, you might be interested in installing the Emergency Lighting System (ELS) mod. ELS is a script modification that allows you to control the lights and sounds of emergency vehicles in a more detailed and realistic way. ELS requires vehicle models that are specifically designed to work with its features, and it includes over 200 unique lighting patterns across four light groups and formats.
In this article, we will show you how to install ELS, how to use its controls, and how to customize its settings. We will also provide some tips and tricks to make the most out of ELS in GTA 5.
How to Install ELS
Before you install ELS, you need to have a ScriptHook installed for GTA 5. ScriptHook is a tool that allows you to run script modifications in the game. You can download ScriptHook from here. You also need to have some pro-ELS vehicle models downloaded from here. Make sure you follow the instructions for each vehicle model on how to install them properly.
Once you have ScriptHook and some vehicle models ready, you can download ELS from here. Extract the files from the zip archive and copy them to your main GTA 5 game directory. You should have ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and AdvancedHookV.dll in your game folder.
Now you can start your game and enjoy ELS. To check if ELS is working, press J while in an emergency vehicle and see if the light stage changes.
How to Use ELS Controls
ELS has a lot of controls that allow you to manipulate the lights and sounds of your emergency vehicle. Here is a list of the default controls for ELS:
